Easter break

Well Easter break is over. I bid it farewell with both glee and sadness. We began the holiday with the traditional Easter egg hunt at my parents home on Good Friday. It turned out to be good weather and the kids and adults had fun. as the children have gotten older th adults...mainly the boys have taken it upon themselves to hide the eggs harder and more dangerously. A race to the roof of the barn was the pay off for the adults this year...... and that no one was hurt.
My children had a sleepover with cousins at Grandma and Grandpa's house that night. Then on Saturday my Sister and her family came out to my little town to play at the park and have some lunch. The kids loved pushing their dad and Uncle on the merry-go round. After a break for Harry Potter for my children and naps for hers we went out on a double date to the Olive Garden for supper and Chapters for after supper entertainment. It was a great weekend.
Monday morning found us packed and off for the week in Kimberley with good friends. The kids played sardines, capture the flag, sat in the hot tubs, watched movies, played games and generally just had fun.
We even took 16 children with 3 adults swimming. Now this was a feat since three of the children were under 3 with a fourth being 5, and all children under 7 had to be within arms reach of an adult. Those kids kept us moving for 2 and half hours. Everyone slept well that night.
We went Geo-caching which was an experience. We learned though it just isn't as satisfying to find them quickly. When you have to look for a long time you feel awesome even when you aren't the one to find it.

This morning was a little shaky getting ready for school. It doesn't take us long to fall out of a routine. So we were a little more rushed this morning then normal but we still fit everything in. I love my children and spending some quality time with them was so nice. They are growing up and needing me less and less. Time just seems to be going faster and faster and my heart just can't seem to catch up. A week like this last one just helps.

I hope you all had a great Easter
Later Gators
